First High School Day

Hi everybody and welcome in this new post from the United States Of America! I'm gonna talk about my first day of school that actually was yesterday but I was busy so I'm writing this now. I guess you guys know my school is Sand Creek and I'm a Sophomore, I'll tell you something about the organisation, the classes and whatever stuff. 

First of all No, I don't go by bus, the famous yellow ones, my host mom drives Bryan and me.  To go into the school, to eat, to do everything you need your ID card where is written your name, your code and your grade... You can see my in the picture. Following your own schedule you go to your classes, there are C days, N days and F day. The classes are 8, on Friday, F day, we have all classes, so 45 minutes each one; Monday and Wednesday are C days, so just the first four and classes last more, the double actually. Tuesday and Thursday are N days so the last four classes. We have 5 minutes between two classes to change room and eventually go to the lockers to change the books or to the bathroom. It's not easy to open the lockers, you have to make practise, at the beginning it socks. You can change your classes and the difficult in every moment, I have already change Spanish because it was too easy, Spanish goes from I to V, I was in the third and I moved to the fourth. You've just to counselling and tell them. Books are free and you can let them in your locker if you don't have homework. You can also choose just 7 classes and keep on free to study. 

The first class is at 7.30 am and the last ends at 2.40 pm. The grade doesn't mean a lot because you choose your classes and the difficult, I'm in some classes with all Senior and other with just Freshman. I don't do any activity or sport in the afternoon yet. I want to do basketball but it starts in November so for the meantime I'm gonna play soccer, from August 15th I guess. When we end school now our mum pick us up and we go to her office till 5 pm and then we go home. When I do extra activities I'll stay till later. I really enjoyed these two first days of high school, I like it!

Today I had also my first band class and it's awesome. I have had some problems at the beginnings with Algebra II because of the maths language in english. I met three exchange students from Korea and two american students that speak Italian. I'm having fun, stay tuned!

Ciao a tutti e benvenuti in questo nuovo post dagli Stati Uniti d'America! Vi parlerò del mio primo giorno di scuola che in realtà era ieri ma ero occupato e quindi ne scrivo ora. Credo sappiate che la mia high school è sand creek e sono Sophomore (10th grade). Vi racconterò dell'organizzazione, delle lezioni e di qualsiasi cosa. 

Prima di tutto No, non vado a scuola con i famosi pullman gialli, la mia mare ospitante porta me e Bryan in auto. Per entrare a scuola, per mangiare, per fare qualsiasi cosa devi avere la ID card dov'è scritto il tuo nome, il tuo codice e il tuo grado.  Si segue il proprio programma vai alle diverse lezioni, ci sono giorni C, giorni N e un giorno F. Le materie sono 8, il venerdì, il giorno F, le abbiamo tutte, 45 minuti ciascuna; lunedì e mercoledì sono giorni C, quindi ho solo le prime 4 lezioni che durano il doppio; martedì e venerdì sono giorni N, quindi ho le ultime quattro. Abbiamo 5 minuti fra una lezione e l'altra per cambiare aula, andare all'armadietto per i libri o in bagno. Aprire l'armadietto non è facile, devi fare pratica e all'inizio è brutto. Puoi cambiare le materie o le difficoltà in qualsiasi momento, Io ho già cambiato spagnolo da 3 a 4 perché era troppo facile (per le lingue va da 1 a 5). Devi solo andare dal counselor e dirglielo. I libri sono gratis e puoi  tenerli nell'armadietto se non devi fare compiti. Puoi anche scegliere 7 materie e avere un'ora libera per studiare.

La prima lezione inizia a 7.30 e l'ultima finisce a 14.40. Il grado non importa molto perché sei tu a scegliere le lezioni e la difficoltà, sono in classe con tutti studenti dell'ultimo anno per alcune materie e con tutti del primo in altre.   

Non faccio ancora attività pomeridiane o sport. Farò basket ma inizia a novembre, nel frattempo ho deciso di fare calcio, inizia il 15 agosto. Quando finiamo scuola nostra madre ci viene a prendere a andiamo al suo ufficio fino alle 17 e poi andiamo a casa. Quando inizierò le attività pomeridiane resterò fino a più tardi. Mi sono davvero divertito in questi due primi giorni, mi piace! Oggi ho avuto la mia prima lezione di banda ed è fantastico. Ho avuto qualche problema con il linguaggio matematico in inglese ad Algebra II all'inizio. Ho conosciuto 3 exchange students dalla Corea e due ragazzi americani che parlano italiano. Sto passando questo periodo bene, state sintonizzati!
