Prom!!!

PROM. Finally, after years and year hearing about the american prom, I got to go to one. For those of you who don't know Prom is formal dance (promenade), kept by every high school in April/May. In order to go you have to be a junior or a senior, or be invited by one. If you're an exchange student and they put in a lower grade you can ask and they usually let you go anyway. It's tradition to go with a date and you're supposed to dress really formal. At the end of the night junior and senior queens and kings are elected from the nominations.

As I had told you, it was yesterday, Saturday. It took place in the Swan House Manor, which was a really nice place. I went with a group of friends and of course my beautiful date. We went to get dinner before and then to the dance. I told actually have much to talk about. We danced, of course, and I had a really great time. I just wanna thank my friends who I went with, they made it a really special night. Thanks guys! Here some of the pictures we took :)

Prom. Finalmente, dopo anni e anni sentendone parlare, ci sono andato. Per coloro che non lo sapesse il Prom, che sta per promenade, è un ballo di gala che, nella tradizione americana, si tiene nelle scuole superiore in aprile o maggio. Per andarci bisogna essere al terzo o quarto anno, o essere invitato da uno di quell'età. Se sei un exchange student e sei in una classe inferiore puoi sempre chiedere e di solito ti lasciano andare. È anche tradizione andarci con qualcuno, a date. A fine serata vengono eletti re e regina, per ciascuno due fra i juniors (terzo anno) e due fra i seniors (quarto e ultimo anno).

Come vi avevo detto era ieri, sabato. Era in un hotel molto carino. Ci sono andati con alcuni amici e ovviamente la mia date, dopo essere andati a mangiare insieme. Abbiamo ballato, ovviamente, e ci siamo divertiti molto. Volevo solo dire grazie a tutti gli amici con cui ci sono andato, che hanno reso questo un ricordo indimenticabile. Grazie!
